Rainy Industrial Lesbian Deity Brooklyn Wedding
Amanda + Terri
Rain fell steadily as Amanda prepared at Deity's top floor in downtown Brooklyn while Terri finished getting ready at the Ace Hotel. Their love story had come full circle—from school crushes to wives—a journey years in the making.
The weather may have been cloudy, but spirits were bright as they met for their first look in front of Jane's Carousel at Brooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO. The Manhattan skyline created a perfect backdrop despite the mist. Terri's face lit up at the sight of Amanda—a genuine moment that cameras dream of capturing.
Umbrella in hand, we moved through Brooklyn Bridge Park for portraits, using DUMBO's industrial architecture and cobblestone streets to frame their connection. The rain couldn't dampen their excitement as they laughed between shots, clearly more focused on each other than the weather.
Deity Brooklyn proved perfect for their celebration with its versatile multi-floor layout. The sun-filled top floor hosted their ceremony, while guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the hip, moody basement lounge. The reception took place on the industrial bottom floor, where exposed brick walls and ambient lighting created an intimate atmosphere for dinner and dancing.
What made their day special wasn't just the Brooklyn locations or the weather we embraced, but how their relationship had evolved from school days to this milestone. Nothing about Amanda and Terri's wedding felt forced. Years of history made every moment – from their vows to their first dance—feel earned and authentic.
As the night progressed at Deity Brooklyn, friends and family celebrated on the dance floor, surrounded by those industrial brick walls. This is what wedding photography is about—not perfect weather or flawless details, but real moments between two people who chose each other consistently until that choice led them to their wedding day in Brooklyn.
From Brooklyn Bridge Park to Deity, from school crushes to spouses, Amanda and Terri's rainy day wedding proved that the best love stories sometimes take the scenic route.
